Does anyone know what qualifications you have to have to be on the design team for new AG things etc. You never hear anything about the people who create the ideas. Are they people with a degree in fashion design ???
I am surprised that in Middleton that they do not have a tour you can take to see what goes into the production of the products. I am sure there are many ideas but not many that make it into production. It would be neat to see the products that never make it. Whenever I send a letter to AG they always say in their letter that the "design team is always working on new ideas". It would just be interesting to see what all goes into it.

Wouldn't that be a dream job.... It always has been for me. I've wanted to work for American Girl for my whole life, and being on the team that thinks up the new products would be awesome.

AG Jobs
Check out this website. It would tell you what type of qualifications you would need, if a design job is open.

I once stood in a line outside AGPC to apply to work in that store. They were having an employment open house. I thought I would be a shoe in because I know so much about AG and because I had over 5 straight years of retail experience. But they wanted someone with almost unlimited availability which I just couldn't give in to.

I actually went to the ag site first to see what jobs they offer but nothing was said about the qualifications. I thought this was weird so that is why I posted to see if anyone else knew.
